The only bread I'll be buying will be for feeding ducks...

After a flight that consisted of Despicable Me 2, sleep, and food containing gluten and only gluten, I finally arrived safely in London for my semester abroad! Not as easy as it sounds, though. My morning journey continued by trekking through Heathrow airport, which was easily a mile from the gate to customs, and having to check through with one attitude of a woman. I honestly felt lucky enough that she even let me through, I'm just here to learn--it's not a crime! That is until I forget that I am here for school before traveling throughout Europe. Luckily I got to have an extra day here to settle in before I have to check in at school tomorrow. This gave me a chance to catch up on sleep, find my school, and take myself on a walking tour of the area while on a search for food that I could eat. I was beyond happy once I got to Regent's American College London to find that it is in the middle of Regent's Park, a beautiful secret-garden type feel of a landscape.
I cannot wait to see where I'm scheduled to live for the rest of my stay here tomorrow morning! It will be so refreshing to be around people my own age and in general again, the past day has been a long one. I'm also staying hopeful for better food in my future days here, as all I managed to really find amongst my adventures today is pictured above. One day here and I've gathered that the main food groups are fried and bread. Either way I cannot believe I am finally here and I'm too excited to see what the future holds this semester! Bon Voyage.
